It all started with Smith.

He's the best dog we could imagine and it’s he who motivated us to start our own business. It really helped that we all have so much in common:

  • He loves long walks - so do we!

  • We didn't enjoy working in an office - neither did he!

  • We love dogs - he's a dog!

  • We wanted to be our own boss - so did he!

  • He is highly motivated by food - as are we!

  • We love living in JP - and so does he!

This is the story of Boston Fetch

 

2014

Boston Fetch was founded in May of 2014

We started with one staff member - our founder, Sophie and one dog, Hunter!

 
 

2015

Year started with 11 customers and 3 staff members

Boston Fetch was growing and all the dogs know it!


2016

Year began with 28 customers and 4 staff members, including 3 full-timers

Derrick, Sophie’s husband, joined Boston Fetch as a partner and we hired Hannah in November, our first full-time staff member and she is still with us to this day!

 
 

2017

Year began with 57 customers and 7 staff members, including 4 full-timers

Four of our staff members were full-time employees, with three part-timers


2018

Year began with 109 customers and 10 staff members

Moved into our Jamaica Plain HQ in September


2019

Year began with 172 customers and 13 staff members

Updated our logo and branding to its current design

 
 

2020

Year began with 201 customers and 15 staff members

Expanded into Roslindale and hired James as our Roslindale Neighborhood Manager. Oh, and we survived the first year of a pandemic.

 
 

2021

Year began with 222 customers and 15 staff members, including 5 full-timers

Jen joined the management team in April to help grow our thriving Roslindale operation.

 
 

2022

Year began with 275 customers and 20 staff members

Opened our Roslindale Office and expanded into Brookline, hiring Britton as our Brookline Neighborhood Manager.

 
 

2023

Year began with 357 customers and 28 staff members, including 7 full-timers
